This is my 9th year in education, and 4th year as a 7th grade math teacher. Teaching is my second career and I come from a family of educators. Prior to becoming a teacher, I was an IT professional for over a decade.  I decided to quit my corporate job to stay at home to raise my two wonderful children.  Volunteering at my kids’ elementary school inspired and motivated me to become an educator.  

My daughter is a sophomore at Texas Tech University.  Go Red Raiders!!  My son is a senior at Panther Creek high school in Frisco ISD.   My husband and I have been married for over 20 years, and my family and I moved to the Dallas area in 2020 after living in Chicago for over two decades.   In my spare time, I like to cook, read, garden, and travel.
