Please note that attendance is vital to student success. While we recognize that students get sick and there may be times that require a student to be absent, we encourage absences be kept to a minimum as we are unable to duplicate critical learning opportunities when students are not at school. We encourage you to review the Denton ISD Handbook in addition to the important attendance information that we share with you here.

Anytime your student is absent, an absence note must be submitted.
Please submit any physician notes or absence documentation when submitting absence notes.
When a student must leave early for a doctor's appointment, please submit physician notes to excuse the partial day absence.
Please note the following truancy prevention measures that have been established by Denton ISD:
