Hello, my name is Patrick Powers, and I am very excited to be teaching 8th Grade English & Honors English here at Navo Middle School. I’ve taught English & Reading Intervention for 5 years through Denton ISD at Bettye Myers Middle School and I’m confident I can replicate the same success I’ve had in the past. I thoroughly enjoy using my creativity, intellect, and experiences to reach students in a multitude of ways while having fun while doing so. I am a proud graduate of both the University of North Texas (UNT) and the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually catch me trying different restaurants in the DFW area, traveling, spending time with family or rooting on the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Lakers.
