Wow! I have had several fun and interesting years in Kindergarten.    My class last year and I had fun while learning and I can't wait to get my students this year with their bright and smiling faces.  Here we go off on our new adventure because McNair is on Point!

Texas has become my home after living here for twenty years, all of which I have been at McNair Elementary School.  I grew up in the Pennsylvania/Ohio area.  I graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Elementary and Special Education.  Then I spent a few years as a substitute teacher, and almost ten years in the South Carolina school system.

I am part of a wonderful team of Kindergarten teachers.  This is my sixth year teaching Kindergarten, after over twenty years of teaching in other grades.  It has been an amazing experience and I am still excited about trying new lessons and projects with my class.   I know this year will be awesome for the students, parents, and me.

I am part of the PTA and other activities around the community.  I love music of all kinds and even play handbells with a group.  I enjoy spending time with my family when I can.   My friends and I like to go out to dinner and relax.

My family is an important part of my life, even though they live in another state.  My parents like to participate, when they are able, in classroom activities.  I have two nieces and one nephew - Tabitha, Michael, and Abby.  I enjoy spending time with them and they keep me very busy, as they are all in college now.  I am lucky that Tabitha will be closer as she is going to Rice University for her graduate degree.

I love teaching and look forward to many more years of wonderful experiences in this community.
