Meet the Teacher

Hello!

Welcome to my web page.  I am entering my 10th year teaching Visual Arts at Calhoun Middle School.  What an honor it has been to see students grow and mature over their time spent here.  I am so blessed to come to Calhoun every day and share my passion... Learning!  And Art too of course!  Art is a wonderful tool to teach so many things like patience, risk taking, and discipline.   

I was born and raised in San Antonio, TX- GO SPURS!!! and I love sports.  I have lived in Denton for over 20 years.  I attended TWU and graduated in 2007.   I started out as a paraprofessional then spent a few years with special needs students and have also taught First Grade.   I did part of my student teaching at Calhoun on Congress in the fall of 2007.  My educational journey has come full circle.  I have 3 wonderful children and a husband who loves our crazy schedules.  If you see us out and about in town, please stop and say "Hi".
