My name is Ms. Hardy and this is my fifth year teaching 2nd grade at Ginnings Elementary. This year I am looking forward to team teaching with Ms. Jensen! I will be teaching math, science, & social studies and Ms. Jensen will be teaching language arts. My biggest passion is teaching students to truly understand and enjoy math.

A little bit about my background- I graduated from the University of North Texas in 2017 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and in 2020 I obtained an MEd in Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum from Texas Woman's University. For the past two years I have served as a the Denton ISD 2nd Grade Math Curriculum Writer and look forward to continuing to create new, engaging math resources for the district.

I am dedicated to being a culturally responsive educator and am a member of a cohort that studies culturally responsive teaching and anti-racism. I also enjoy sponsoring and assisting with after school clubs such as Kids Kitchen, Helping Hands, and GEMs.

In my free time I value spending time with family, friends, and my border collie Jepsen. I grew up going camping with my family so I love the outdoors and traveling! My hobbies are rock climbing and playing the ukulele.
