Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!

Here is a sign-up for BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS. We will celebrate once per month. We have combined some of the months for the summer birthdays. Please take a look.

Important Dates:

10/17- 1st 9 weeks Awards Assembly (families will be notified if your student is receiving an award), Report Cards available in HAC

10/25- Day of the Dead Festival downtown! Shultz Ballet Folklorico performing!

10/27- RED RIBBON WEEK

10/31- 3rd Grade Pumpkin Day (pumpkins due on Wed. the 29th) See below for more information.

11/04- Fall Picture Day MAKE-UP

11/11- Veteran's Day Program

11/20- Multicultural Night 6:00-7:30pm

11/22-11/30- Thanksgiving Break NO SCHOOL

Reminders:

Send a labeled water bottle and a healthy snack each day.
Students may want to bring a jacket or hoodie each day. Our classroom can get chilly.
Please write your child's name in their jackets/hoodies.
Please check that your child has headphones and art supplies.

Here is a peek at what we are learning this week:

Math: Multi-step word problems involving addition and subtraction.

Reading: continuing with non-fiction texts

Phonics-Multisyllabic words

Grammar- Continuing with past tense verbs

Writing: Informational Writing and the writing process.

Science/Social Students: Forces and Motion & Communities

Third Grade Pumpkin Day

October 31, 2025

Please send a medium sized pumpkin by Tuesday, October 28th.

The pumpkin should be on that the student can carry to and from school. We will be using the pumpkins for fun learning opportunities in math and science on Friday, Oct 31, 2025.

We will need volunteers to help with the Pumpkin Day rotations. Please sign-up here to volunteer.
