My name is Deanna Pruett, and I am so excited to start this new year together.  I have been married to Michael Pruett for 21 years, and we have three kids who all attended Hawk.  Brad is playing baseball at East Carolina University.  Jacob is a junior at Guyer and plays baseball.  Julia is an 8th grader at Crownover and loves all sports.  We have an adorable German Shepherd named Jourdan.  

I graduated from OU with a Social Studies Education degree and taught high school history for five years.  I left the classroom for several years while my kids were young.  I spent my time working at church in the children's ministry and volunteering at Pecan Creek and Hawk Elementary.  I taught preschool for three years at Trietsch United Methodist.

This is my sixth year teaching at Hawk, and it is my second year in 5th grade. I am looking forward to teaching this group of students because I loved working with them as third graders.  We are going to have so much fun together!

In my free time I love to read, swim, do yoga, travel, and study interior design.  You will see me around the neighborhood walking my sweet dog and attending sporting events.  I am a huge fan of Guyer sports, and I truly love this community.  Your children are extremely important to me, and teaching brings me such joy.  Thank you for sharing your child with me!
