About Mrs. Kernan

 I have been passionate about art since I could hold a crayon, and have become even more passionate about teaching it. I love helping students master new skills and discover the joy of art.

I studied Drawing and Painting at UNT and earned my BFA in 2005. I worked as an artist and taught private lessons before returning to UNT to get my Masters in Art Education and teaching certification  in 2015. I have lived in Denton with my husband and two daughters, Emma and Lila, for 19 years. We have two cats, Maggie and Henri "Meowtisse".

In my free time I enjoy cooking, traveling, reading, doing yoga, and spending time with family and friends.

Daily Schedule:

1st period- Art 3 - 8:15-9:05

2nd period- Art 2 -9:03=9:48

Advisory 9:51-10:17

3rd period-Art 3- 10:2--11:05

4th period - Art 3- 10:55-11:40

5th period-lunch duty

6th period- Art 1- 1:14-1:59

7th period- Conference

8th period- Art 2- 2:50-3:35
