Welcome Martinez Family!

My name is Karsten Hatcher and it is my pleasure to serve as the first Principal of Dorothy Martinez Elementary! I am so excited for this school year!

This is my 17th year in education, all within Denton ISD! During this time, I have had the privilege to teach in the classroom, be a math and reading interventionist, an Instructional Literacy Coach and Administration. I love working with students and staff and have taught professional development for the district as well as educational conferences. 

​

I have my Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas and my Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Texas Woman's University.
