My name is Amanda Goode. I am married to my husband Jonathan and we have 3 kids. Jackson is 10, Hailey is 7, and Austin is 4. They definitely keep us very busy! I’m originally from Tulsa, OK. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!!!) and my Master's Degree in Reading from Northeastern State University. I began my teaching career in 2005. Since then, I've taught 1st, 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th grades Oklahoma, Texas, and Georgia.

In June 2022, we moved back to Texas from Georgia. We lived in the Houston-area 10 years ago before moving to Georgia. We are very happy to be back in Texas! My last 3 years in Georgia were spent teaching 3rd grade. Of all the grades I have taught, third has been my favorite! I love seeing my students making the transition from “learning to read” to “reading to learn.”
