I am Hope May and I will be your child's 2nd grade teacher this year. This will be my 3rd year at Providence Elementary. I went to college at the University of North Texas and got my teaching degree there. and specialized in Special Education. Before and during college I worked at a few preschools and gained a lot of experience with working with children. My goal is to make my classroom a positive and safe environment for all students to feel comfortable, loved and be able to enjoy learning! 

I have been with my high school sweet heart for almost 14 years now and we have been married for 3 years. I recently last year just had my first daughter, Avery and she is my biggest accomplishment. During my spare time I love to spend time with my family, go on walks, try new foods, travel, and play games with my family. I also enjoy watching sports, specifically the Dallas Mavericks! I am looking forward to a wonderful school year and can't wait to get to know you and your child!

My husband and I recently had our first child last August (2023) and her name is Avery. We also have two large Golden doodles!
