Career and Technology Education courses are designed to prepare students in the technical and professional skills necessary to succeed in today’s job environment. Students have the opportunity to utilize their skills in the following classes.

LaGrone Academy

The LaGrone Academy (ATC) is dedicated to providing students of Denton County with an outstanding career and technical educational opportunity, designed to help students enter the work force and/or prepare them for their future education at college. Here at DHS students either provide their own transportation or they take a bus from the campus.  Classes begin at 8:25am (much earlier than DHS hours) so students needing the bus must arrive DHS before 8:00am (before normal buses arrive), afternoon bus transportation is after A lunch. For recent schedule change updates, see Mrs. Kennedy to be on Remind 101. 

** Attention 9th, 10th and 11th graders. There are some classes that have REQUIRED meetings in order to be in the program. Courses like Cosmetology, Health, EMT, Fire or HVAC.
