My name is Lisa Hanley and I am the reading and math interventionist at E.P. Rayzor Elementary School. I love my profession and feel quite honored to be able to continue my professional growth in a rapidly progressive school.

I prepared for teaching by attending the University of Wisconsin- Platteville and Oshkosh. These universities granted my Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Elementary Education. I initially taught seventh grade science for one year, then quickly transferred to elementary where I have taught in some capacity for 34 years.

My teaching philosophy is: First I teach the child then I teach the subject. It is important to me to really get to know where each child that I teach is academically, then take them from that spot and then accelerate their learning. It is important to take into account emotional and social growth throughout the year. I want my students to be lifelong learners that are productive citizens.

A child’s first and most important teacher is his or her parents, and no one disputes how important parents are to the growth and development of their child. Staying involved in your child’s education is the key to a successful year. You’re my partner in your child’s education and working together, we can be unbeatable!

Keith, my wonderful understanding husband, and I live here in Lantana with our two sons, Brady and Brody. I enjoy spending time with my family playing golf and other outdoor activities.
