Hi! My name is Mrs. Daniel, and I LOVE learning new things! Most importantly, I love my role as an Interventionist & Instructional Coach! Here is a little bit about me.
I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida and I am the youngest of two children. However, I could be considered the only child because my sister and I are eleven years apart. Once I finished high school, I attended the University of Central Florida…Go Knights! I majored in Elementary Education and couldn’t wait to start teaching. My husband, Ryan, and I love to visit Orlando as often as we can to see my family, who still live there, and the beaches, of course!
This is my nineteenth year of teaching. I taught for three years in Florida, first grade for two years and then I moved up to fourth grade. In 2010, my husband and I moved to Texas so he could attend law school at Southern Methodist University. He graduated in 2015! When we moved to Texas, I got a teaching position in Lewisville where I taught one year in third grade and two years in fourth. For six years, I taught third grade at Paloma Creek and four years ago I stepped into the role as ESL Specialist! I absolutely loved it! In 2022, I embraced a new role as an Interventionist and Instructional Coach, and I absolutely love it! I strongly believe in the transformative power of intervention to alter a student's academic trajectory. Assisting both students and teachers in reaching their full potential brings me immense joy.
In the summer of 2013, my husband and I spent the entire summer in Africa. We spent seven weeks in Uganda and one week in Burundi visiting friends who run an NGO (non-governmental organization), where they built an orphanage in Burundi. While in Uganda, my husband interned with the Attorney General of Uganda at his private law firm, learning about international adoptions and land rights. I worked in an orphanage and assisted at a school by training some of the teachers.
In the summer of 2024, we ventured back to Africa with our kids, showing them the continent that we love. We also spent some time in London. We enjoyed our time overseas and cannot wait to go back!
In 2015, my husband and I both graduated. In 2013, I began working on my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership through a night program for teachers at Concordia University, and I received my diploma in 2015.
In 2014, we welcomed our first child, Hannah. In April 2016, we were blessed with another girl, Allison (she came three weeks early). In 2018, we welcomed our third child, Caleb. Our last child, Madison Kate, was born in the spring of 2020.
In what little free time we have, we enjoy spending it with our little crew. I am so excited about continuing my role and partnering with teachers to help our students grow and develop a passion for learning!
