8:00 AM-12:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:00PM  

THIS IS NOT A REGULAR CLASS

It is a consequence of one or more school rules you have violated or to enable you to retrieve class credit. GHS views this consequence of actions very seriously. Only an administrator is able to assign Saturday School. The following information pertains directly to students attending the GHS Saturday School sessions.  All GHS and District school rules SHALL continue to be in effect.

RULES:

Failure to follow these rules may result in more serious consequences.

PHONE CALLS:

Phone calls may not be made or received by the student during the session unless the Teacher gives authorization.  If an emergency occurs and you are authorized to leave you will need to serve the entire time again.

TIME:

Tardies are not allowed.  It is to your advantage to be on time.  Be early.  Students must arrive between 7:50am and 8:00am.  The school clock will designate the correct time.  Students arriving after 8:00am will not be allowed to attend.

LEAVING SATURDAY SCHOOL:

Students may leave after 12:00 or 4:00pm WHEN THE TEACHER DISMISSES YOU.  The clock does not dismiss you.  You may not leave the room at anytime, without the Teacher’s authorization.

GHS ID BADGE:

Students will be allowed in upon presenting a current student GHS ID Badge with your photo.

SCHOOL ASSIGNMENTS:

Students must bring a sufficient amount of school assignments to work on during the entire time of each session assigned.  Do not bring articles considered leisure reading such as magazines, newspaper, or note writing to friends, or drawing, etc.

FOODS & BEVERAGES:

Consumption of foods or beverages, including water is not allowed in the room.  This includes but is not limited to breakfast snacks, candy, sodas, etc.  However, if a student is scheduled to be in Saturday School from 8:00am until 4:00pm, they are allowed to bring a lunch with them.  Their lunch time will be between 12:00 and 12:30.

SLEEPING:

Sleeping is not allowed during Saturday School Session. The teacher may ask you to leave the building if you sleep in class.

ELECTRONIC DEVICES:

Electric devices are not allowed.  This includes but is not limited to items such as Cell phones, pagers, radios, headsets, I pods, etc.  The teacher is authorized to confiscate these articles.  Your parents will need to pick them up on the following Friday. Math Calculators are the only exception to this rule.

AUTHORIZED AREAS:

The lockers, Gyms, Classrooms and other campus areas are off  limits to students attending Saturday School.  Students only have access to the Saturday School room.

RESTROOM BREAKS:

Restroom breaks will be allowed once every hour, if necessary.

SEATING:

The Teacher supervising the Saturday School Session will assign student’s seating.  All students are to remain seated in his/her assigned seat.

ROOM ATMOSPHERE:

Saturday School Sessions are silent.  Students are required to not talk during these sessions or communicate with other students in any form or manner.
