I'm proud to say that I am a Charter Staff Member of Guyer High School. Its truly amazing to see how far we have come in such a short time. The staff is truly a special group of educators and I'm proud to be associated with such professionals. This marks my 30th year in education and all of my experience has been in Texas. I worked for 11 years as a classroom teacher and coach prior to moving into administration. I completed my Master of Education in Administration at the University of North Texas in 2003 where I was named the Outstanding Student in Administration by the UNT Faculty. In addition, I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from Winona State University, Winona, Minnesota, as well as Teaching Certification from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. My wife, Brenda, is also an educator at the UNT. I have two sons, Mark Jr., who currently serves in the US Army overseas, and my youngest son, Kyle, is attending West Virginia State University and playing football.
