My name is Maddie Moody and I will be your child's 1st grade teacher for the 2023-2024 school year! This will be my sixth year teaching in first grade. I grew up in Crawford, Texas so not too far from home. I love the outdoors and traveling. I married my best friend/high school sweet heart. We both love to travel, kayak, camp and experience new things together. My husband, Olin, teaches and coaches at Cheek Middle School. We have two fur babies at home. We have a sweet Mini Australian Shepherd named Millie and a cuddly Golden Retriever named Maverick. They both love to go on our adventures with us. We are expecting our first child come January and are so excited for our new chapter with our baby girl. I can not wait to grow many wonderful relationships with your children this year!

I attended Texas Tech University where I earned my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. Through the Tech Teach program, I did a full year student teaching in second grade. Also, I student taught in kindergarten and first grade my Junior Year and had many classes where we worked in the "field" so we had interactions with students daily. 

I was fortunate enough to have my first year of teaching at the same school where I did my full time student teaching at Parsons Elementary, which is located in Lubbock, Texas. I absolutely love first grade and was so thankful to help open Union Park Elementary and to continue being a first grade teacher.
