Teaching Philosophy:

I strive to provide a supportive and risk-free environment, in which students take an active part in learning. Students will have the opportunity to work individually, in cooperative groups, hands-on-labs, and projects.  The students will have a voice in classroom standards and in the subject matter during the course.  I hope my students learn something about science and the importance of being life-time learners.

About Mrs. Denning:

This year is exciting and a very different one for me.  I am beginning my 4th year at Ryan High and my 30st year in education overall.  I will be teaching Honors Chemistry, AP Chemistry, ESL Chemistry, and I am also the sponsor for the Asian Cultures Club.  I have most recently taught at Ponder High School for 22 years and before that I taught at Lake Dallas High School for 5 years.

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Robert, for 10 years and we have a son, Cory and a daughter-in law, Darby.  Cory is a bridge foreman for the Union Pacific Railroad and Darby is a 3rd grade teacher in Weatherford ISD.  We have one grandson Steven, who just turned 2.   We also have three fur babies, "Zelda the Zoomer", Z.Z. for short, Buddy, and Chester Cheetah.
