About Ms. Wood

Hello!

A bit about myself is that the 2024-2025 school year is my 12th year teaching. It is my 7th year with Denton ISD and my first year serving as an interventionist. I have previously taught kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade. Most of my experience previous to Denton comes from Big Spring ISD; which as the name suggests is in Big Spring, TX. I currently hold a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Angelo State University. Most recently I earned a Reading Specialist certificate from TWU in 2021.

On a personal note I was born in Upper Heyford, England; however I grew up in Abilene, TX. (My father was in the Air Force.) I have three sisters: Katherine, Jessica, Rachel; and one brother Charles.
