LaGrone Academy dual credit is offered all online. Students will work with an NCTC instructor, purely online.
NCTC Dual Credit Process
Fill out the Apply Texas application. https://goapplytexas.org/
Fill out and return the student registration form to Ms. Williams. Registration+Form+2025+revised+12+17+SC.pdf
Take the TSIA 2, if you do not have scores that exempt you from taking it. To find out if you are exempt look here: Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 | North Central Texas College

After Ms. Williams has turned in your form and you have filled out your Apply Texas application, you will receive an email from NCTC directing you to setup up your student portal, MyNCTC (Onelogin) portal Onelogin | North Central Texas College
The dual credit coordinator will register you for your course(s) after your Apply Texas application is complete and your registration form has been sent over to them.
Finally, you will need to pay for your course(s) and textbooks. This can be done by setting up a payment plan through the business office Business Office | North Central Texas College or by making your full payment either through the business office or through your MyNCTC portal. *Please note: Payment or Payment Plan set up is due at time of registration.

CTE Dual Credit
There are many options for CTE Dual Credit at The LaGrone Academy and also in Denton ISD.
Education, EMT, and Fire Fighter classes require entrance testing and have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
HVAC and Commercial Photography do not require entrance testing nor mimimum GPA.
Tuition is $132 per credit hour. The credit hours range from 3-9 hours per semester depending on the program.
All Dual Credit students will be required to complete the Apply Texas application and complete a dual credit registration form each semester.
EMT and Fire Fighting do have additional vaccine requirments but the other classes do not require a Meningits vaccine.
Some classes require text books to be provided by the student and others have the text book provided.
CTE Dual Credit classes are taught in person by either a NCTC instructor or a LaGrone Academy teacher who is also an adjunct instructor with NCTC.
