Hello!  Welcome to fourth grade.  This will be my thirteenth year to teach at Hawk and I am thrilled to be here.  I previously taught 4th grade at McNair Elementary.  I have also taught third grade and kindergarten, but fourth grade is my favorite.  I absolutely LOVE teaching and we are going to have a fantastic year. 

I grew up in Longview, Texas, but have lived in Denton for the last 32 years. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas.  GO MEAN GREEN!!  I have been happily married for 27 years.  My husband, Chris, is the Assistant Director for Adult Probation for Denton County.  We have two very handsome boys.  Mason is 24 years old and is also a graduate of The University of North Texas and earned his doctorate in Physical Therapy from Baylor University. Reese is 21 and will be a Senior at The University of North Texas. As you can tell, we are huge Mean Green fans!!!

I enjoy cooking, hiking, running, and spending time with my family.  I have completed three marathons and four half marathons.  It's a very challenging, but rewarding experience.
