Markers, Color Pencils, and scissors. ( If you would like your own, I will have a class set if not)
Grade Break Down
Major Grades: 60% of the overall grade
Minor Grades: 40% of the overall grade
Formative Grades: 0% of the overall grade
What are major grades?
Tests, essays, projects, research papers, presentations etc.
What are minor grades?
Daily assignments, small quizzes, class activities, discussions etc.
What are formative grades?
Formative grades are in-class activities that allow teachers to informally assess how a student is doing on a particular concept. Formative grades will not be counted in the student’s overall final grade; however, they are a helpful snapshot of how a student is performing in class.
Cell Phone policy- Cell phones, earbuds, and other electronic devices from home must be turned off and put in your backpack from 7:45 to 3:35.

Assignments
You will be able to finish most assignments in class but if you don’t finish it, it will become homework.
You may need to take your journal home to study for quizzes or tests.
Discipline
1rst offense- Verbal Warning
2nd Offense- Written Warning and Parent Contact
3rd Offense- Written Warning, Parent Contact & Teacher Detention
4th Offense and any after- Office referral and parent contact
