Hello, Hi, Howdy!
Education
The most important thing to me has and continues to be education.
I am the first person in my family (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) to attend a four year university and graduate college!
I attended the University of North Texas (GO MEAN GREEN!) and graduated December 2023 with honors with a degree in K-12 Art Education! (Plus a minor in Art History!)
Teaching
Shortly after graduating college I was asked to join the team at Cheek Middle School as the art one teacher! I am forever grateful the team here at Cheek gave me the opportunity!
I am thrilled to be continuing my teaching career here at Cheek for the 2025-2026 year!
This will be year 3!

My Parents and Brother
My Parents and Brother
Both of my parents served in the United States Navy and I thank them for their sacrifices and service. Due to the military status we moved around a LOT as a child. I am originally from Maine but consider Texas my home since I have spent the majority of my life here.
I am the older sister of one brother who is my best friend. My brother attended Alfred State College in Alfred New York and received a degree and certification in Welding. He is currently working towards his Journeyman's License.

I am the proud mom of two wonderful fur babies. Both of my puppies were adopted from the Denton Animal Shelter.
Olivia is a black lab retriever heeler mix who despite her old age is a puppy at heart.
Oogie is a brown german shepherd mix who spends all her days sleeping on the couch.
My Husband!

My husband and I got married 1/1/2025 shortly after midnight!
A quick story of us: Funnily enough we both attended the same middle school though we did not run in the same social circles so we did not become close friends until our junior year of high school. We began dating our senior year of high school and then went on to go to college together. We both graduated December of 2023!
My husband currently works as a Fire Suppression, Safety and Life Safety Consultant and Engineer (what a mouthful, I know!)

Playing video games (I built my own PC and play lots of video games to destress! My favorites are Overwatch 2, Palia, Coral Island, and more!)
