I am so honored and grateful to be welcomed back to Harpool Middle School as the Head Theatre Director! The students at Harpool have a special
Place in my heart and I’m glad I get to continue my teaching journey through them. They are all so smart, passionate, genuine, and hardworking. I can’t wait to see where our new journey takes us.
I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s degree in K-12 Theatre Education. Last fall I got the opportunity to student teach for Harpool Middle school for their 2025 semester and it was truly a blessing. I was welcomed with open arms from such an amazing community with incredible mentors. I learned so much about the kids and Harpool’s theatre program as a whole. Being able to teach the students art through their lessons and support them through their fall musical. My experience was filled with passion and joy and made me truly realize this is where I want to be. I am so grateful to be invited back. I want to cultivate a classroom environment filled with trust. I want my students to have the courage to come out of their comfort zone and feel confident on and off the stage. Providing them with an environment they will always want to come back to. Building friends, family, community, and wisdom along the way. Setting goals we can accomplish together and building a foundation where everyone puts their best foot forward. I want my students to know that every lesson is an opportunity to shape a mind, spark a dream, and change a life.
I’m so excited to join Harpool Middle School this year! Looking forward to a year where creativity, collaboration, and confidence take center stage for every student.
I’m an alum of Missouri State University where I obtained a degree in Speech and Theatre Education. During my time there I was involved in many shows on and off the stage, taking time to learn all the elements of theatre. I have taught at a Springfield Little Theatre for the past 4 summers. It’s there where I grew a passion for students of all ages and stages of life to learn about the arts. I love watching students come out of their shells and build confidence in themselves. Teaching and making art come to life is a joy and an honor!
