Mrs. Marshall (she/her/hers): I’m so excited to be a librarian here at Guyer! I am originally from Kansas and earned both my bachelors and masters degrees from Emporia State University. Before becoming a librarian, I was a middle and high school ELA teacher in KS, NE, and IA. My husband coaches track & field at UNT and we have three kids, twin boys and a girl. I love spending time with my family and friends, reading books, drinking coffee, and watching tv. My favorite shows are New Girl and Parks & Rec, but I enjoy far too many books and authors to pick just one favorite!

Ms. Krutka (she/her/hers): I am so excited to be a Guyer Wildcat and on the library team with Mrs. Marshall and Ms. Block! Previously, I enjoyed teaching high school for 7 years and then was lucky enough to be the librarian at Blanton Elementary for the past 8 years. I went to the University of Oklahoma for my bachelors and then Texas Woman’s for my masters in library science. Now I am working on my doctorate at UNT! Besides enjoying learning (I really do!) I love to read, run, travel, hike, and spend time with my family and friends as much as possible. 

Ms. Block: Hi, I’m your new Library Aide here at Guyer High School! I have a bachelor’s degree in English and I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in Library Science at UNT. I am absolutely nuts about books, traveling, theme parks, and the color green. I love spending time with my friends and my cat, Pierrot. My favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut and my favorite book is Slaughterhouse-Five!
