Learn a little more about The GHS Library Team below!

Mrs. Marshall (she/her/hers): I LOVE being a librarian here at Guyer! I am originally from Kansas and earned both my bachelor's degree and master's degree from Emporia State University. Before becoming a librarian, I was a middle and high school ELA teacher in KS, NE, and IA. My husband coaches track & field at UNT and we have three future Wildcats at home, twin boys and a girl. I love spending time with my family and friends, reading books, drinking coffee, and watching tv. My favorite shows are New Girl and Parks & Rec, but I enjoy FAR too many books and authors to pick just one favorite! Ask me about a specific genre or style of book, and then I might have a top five for each category.😆

Mrs. Brooks (she/they): I am so excited to be a part of the Guyer High School Library team! I am from Texas, and I graduated with my bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Tyler. I spent most of my childhood in the library and while I have worked in a few different trades, I always find my way back to the library. I live with my partner, who is also an aspiring librarian, and four cats with big, loving personalities. I love traveling to new places and visiting local bookstores, historical sites, and restaurants. I also enjoy reading, though I have far too many favorites to choose just one. My favorite fandom is hands-down Star Wars and I am always up to talk lore.
