Mrs. Lisa Flack

I am so excited to start my thirteenth year in Denton ISD and my sixth year at Pecan Creek Elementary!  I have taught one year in fifth grade and after that taught Reading, Writing and Social Studies in third grade for 10 years. This year - I am so excited to teach my second year in second grade. While my children were young, I spent five years working as a substitute teacher in Denton ISD.  I hold a degree in Child Development from California State University at Fullerton. I spent many happy years at home with my children and after we moved to Texas in 2005, I decided to pursue my career in education.  In 2011, I completed my Certification for General Education Pre-K - 8th grade and Special Education Pre-K -12th grade.  In 2014, I completed my ESL Certification. 

I am looking forward to a fabulous year in second grade, teaching all content areas, with new and interesting opportunities for all of us. We will be working together to make every day a positive learning experience. I believe we are never too old or never too young to learn.

I met my husband, Brad, in college (CSUF - go Titans!) and we have been married for thirty-two years.  We have two amazing daughters. Allison graduated from Texas A&M University, College Station (Gig 'Em!) and she got married to another Aggie in November 2019.  Kimberly graduated from the University of Texas, Austin (Hook 'Em!) and works for Dell Technologies in Austin. We have an American Foxhound named Paula that is eleven years old. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, scrapbooking and sewing.  My favorite animals are penguins and I have a collection that I started when I was 12 years old.
