Sandy Cubero holds a B.M. in music education from Georgia State University and a M.S. in Educational Leadership from Indiana University. She is also Kodály certified levels I and II. She taught for 5 years in Indiana and is in her 6th year here in Texas. Growing up in Atlanta, she was involved with multiple youth orchestras including the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, Georgia's All-State Orchestra, and the Georgia Governor’s Honors Orchestra. She studied cello most notably with Daniel Laufer and Martha Gerschefski. She enjoys sharing her love of music with students in the Denton community. Sandy resides in Corinth with her husband, Diego, and FOUR sons, Esteban (8) and Antonio (4), and identical twins Rafael and Tomas (1). If that wasn't enough, she also has a 14 year old dog, Taz, who puts up with a whole lot!
