August - September Activities
September 19th - Worry Dolls
Join us on September 19 during all lunches to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month in the library! We will be making Worry Dolls.
Visit the library to learn how to make your own Worry Dolls. Worry dolls (also called trouble dolls; in Spanish, Muñeca quitapena) are small, hand-made dolls that originate from Guatemala. According to legend, you are supposed to tell your worries to the Worry Dolls, then place them under your pillow before going to bed. By morning, the dolls are said to gift the wisdom and knowledge to eliminate your worries.
