Who is invited to attend?

Currently registered, Incoming K - 5th Grade students in DISD

• Bottom 10% across the district are invited to attend Jump Start

How is it determined?

• MOY Text level will be used to determine the bottom 10% in literacy and math.

  • Current kindergarten criteria:  Text Level (hinge criteria is phonological awareness then letter sounds) and At Risk on PNA. (Hinge criteria is forward counting.)

  • Current first and second grade criteria:  Text Level (hinge criteria is phonological awareness then letter sounds) and At Risk on PNA. (Hinge criteria is subtraction.)

  • Current third - fourth grade criteria:  Text Level and Imagine Math Quantile Level

    • Priority will be given to students needing both literacy and math.

  • Pre-K Criteria: MOY Report Card Data regarding Social Emotional
