International Baccalaureate (IB) testing at Denton High School will begin April 30. Please read the information below carefully, as it contains important details regarding testing expectations and procedures.
📃Testing Schedule & Locations
All students and families must review the AP/IB Tango document for specific testing dates, times, and room assignments. Each IB subject is tested over two days, and students are required to attend all scheduled sessions.
Students will remain in testing for a minimum of two hours to ensure testing security.
🙋 Attendance & Punctuality
IB examinations are administered over two days per subject, and students must attend every scheduled session. IB does not offer alternate test dates, and there are no make‑up exams. Students may be eligible for assessment in November 2026 if they miss an exam.
If a student misses an IB exam session, a $135 exam fee will be assessed.
If a student arrives late:
Students must remain off all communication devices and confirm they have had no contact with any person or information that could provide an advantage on the exam.
Students arriving less than one hour late may be allowed to begin the test.
Language Acquisition Listening exams may not be started late under any circumstances.
Adverse Circumstances Policy
The IB recognizes that adverse or unforeseen circumstances, defined as situations beyond the control of the student, can occur at any time during a student’s IB learning journey. The IB categorizes these circumstances as follows:
1. Adverse circumstances during assessment
These are situations that affect a student’s performance in IB assessments and occur during the examination(s) or within three months prior to the May/November examination session.
2. Adverse circumstances causing prolonged absence from learning and teaching
These include difficult and unforeseen situations where a student has had a prolonged absence from school and has also been unable to participate in alternate learning opportunities for an extended period.
🎒Testing Materials & Personal Items
