Hello!
I'm originally from West Texas, but came to Denton to attend UNT where I obtained a degree in Journalism with a concentration in Advertising and Marketing. After working in the field for a few years, I wanted to make a bigger impact so I pursued a Masters in Education from TWU. Shortly after, I completed my ESL certification to better serve the students I taught.
For 7 years I taught Kindergarten and First Grade in Denton ISD where I developed a true love for aspiring learners and reading. I knew there was no better way to pursue my passion than to become a librarian. This will be my 9th year as the librarian at Nelson. I'm excited to have the opportunity to work with all grade levels so I can develop relationships with more students. I have many ideas for this school year and can't wait to get started!
In my free time I love reading and writing, which I hope to pass on to my students. I also enjoy decorating and crafting.
