My name is Derrian (DJ) Bickems and I teach 8th grade History here at RMS. I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas by both my mother and grandmother. I graduated from Mansfield Summit High School in 2018 and continued my education at the University of North Texas majoring in History with a Teacher's Certification in 2022. I started teaching at 21 years old and this will be my second year of many.  With that being said, I am big on relationships that I develop with my students because I was in their shoes not too long ago and I want my students to look forward to coming to my class everyday. I will push our kids very hard in the classroom as well as outside the classroom because not only do I want them to be good people, but I also have to make sure they are prepared for the STAAR test they will have for this subject.
