I grew up in Blanchard, Oklahoma playing sports and loving the outdoors. When I was not playing ball I was at a creek, a pond, or in the woods. I played baseball in college, my last two years playing at The University of Wisconsin, at Superior. I obtained my bachelor's degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and have 20 years experience as a teacher and coach.

I began my teaching career at T.C. Marsh Middle School in Dallas, Texas. In 2001 I began teaching at McMath Middle School here in Denton, where I taught 8th grade US History, coached football, basketball and track. In the spring of 2003 I had the privilege of coaching Freshman and JV baseball at Denton High School. Finally, in 2008 I landed the assistant golf position at Guyer under head coach Roddy Adams. This will be my eleventh year to teach World History and my second year to lead the Guyer Wildcat Golf Teams.

My philosophy of education and sports

My wife, Michelle, teaches at Pecan Creek Elementary School, and we have three boys. Dylan is 23, Dakota is 20 and Austin is 12. We also have a 16 year old chihuahua named Sox. I enjoy hunting, fishing, watching Austin play sports, and chasing old man par.
