Choosing high school courses is an important decision.  Be sure to consult with your parents, your teachers, your campus Professional School Counselor, and experts in your field of interest.  Be sure to consider the class work load and other responsibilities that you may have.  Request the electives that align with your work interest and future goals.  Consider the important areas below before selecting your courses.

Important Areas to Consider When Selecting Courses

Endorsements

Endorsements consist of a related series of courses that are grouped together by interest or skill set. They provide students with in-depth knowledge of a subject areas. Students must select an endorsement upon entering the ninth grade. Not all campuses offer the courses required for each endorsement; students must meet with counselors for guidance in course selection. Students can earn an endorsement by completing the curriculum requirements for the endorsement, including a 4th credit of math and science and 2 additional elective credits.
