Animation FAQ

Below are a few frequently asked questions about Animation at LaGrone Academy along with answers. If you have a question that isn't covered below, please email me at nchantanapumma@dentonisd.org.

What software will we be using?

All animation classes will use Adobe Creative Cloud apps, primarily Animate, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro. Animation II students will also learn how to use Autodesk Maya.

Do I need to have any special software installed at home?

No. The class is designed so that any/all homework can be completed without the use of additional software at home. LaGrone Academy Animation students do get free access to the Adobe Creative Cloud. Click here for access instructions.

Is there a fee for this course?

Yes. There is a one time, $25 fee for students taking Animation I. There may be additional fees for contest entries.
