Classroom Policies

The GHS tardy policy, ID policy and dress code will be followed.  Proper lab attire is essential for your safety and will be addressed in the safety contract.   

NOTE:  Laboratory activities are fun and exciting; they are also an integral part of any science course. If a student should choose to misbehave in the lab, they will be removed from the laboratory setting immediately and given a substantial, appropriate alternative assignment.  Then, suitable disciplinary action will be taken.

Classroom Expectations and Rules

• Refrain from any behavior which prevents me from teaching or your fellow classmates from learning.

• Be in your seat and ready to begin class when the tardy bell rings.

• Be respectful to others as well as yourself.

• Leave the classroom and its contents better than you found them.

• All Denton ISD and Guyer High School rules will be in effect.

Non-Academic Work/Behaviors:

Work or behaviors that are not supported by the standards are considered non-academic. Actions that impede the learning process such as: not completing assignments, not participating in class, chronically turning in late work, etc. may be met with disciplinary measures that include, but are not limited to:

Ø Detention (Mandatory Tutorials)

Ø  Saturday School

Ø  ISSC

Ø  Loss of Parking Permit

Ø Loss of Dismissal Period
