Hello,
My name is Cody Causey and this is my 7th year at Calhoun Middle School and my 9th year with Denton ISD. This is my 3rd year as a dyslexia therapist. Prior to that, I taught 6th grade ELAR.
I have lived in Denton for 21 years. I am a wife and mother of two teenagers. We also have 3 rambunctious dogs. We love Denton and are very involved in the community. I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, reading, cooking, and crocheting.
I believe reading and writing are essential for all students. All students can learn to read and write. Some just need a little more help.
I look forward to continue to work with the awesome dyslexia students at Calhoun!

Hello!!
My name is Nikki Coker and I am very excited for this school year! This is my 1st year at Calhoun Middle School and my 11th year in education. I grew up in The Colony, Texas and received a bachelor's degree from Texas State University in 2004. I am currently working on my master's degree from MSU.
I am a wife and mother of three. My oldest daughter is 17 and in the 12th grade, my middle daughter is 14 and in the 9th grade, and my son is 5 and in kindergarten. I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, and all sports activities.
