Bryan Daniel is the Student Assistance Counselor at Navo middle school. Mr. Daniel has taught for two years as a behavioral teacher, working with students who are emotional disturbed, autistic, and other health impairments. Bryan helps students identify and verbalize their emotions and how to cope and handle stressful situations. These skills are to help students stay in a general education setting with their peers and to also help students learn and improve social skills. Prior to teaching Bryan Daniel had provided counseling services for adolescents and adults for over 6 years. Bryan currently holds a license in counseling (LPC) in the state of Texas. In the 6-year span Bryan had worked as a crisis counselor going out in the community providing services by assess for suicidal ideation or getting a client mental health services. Bryan was part of the psychotherapy team at the Juvenile Detention Center in Tarrant County. Bryan also gave individual and group therapy for the North Dakota State Social Services Department working with people dealing with depression, bipolar, PTSD, schizophrenia, ADHD, and other mental health issues. Bryan Daniel’s journey to help people started by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Counseling, a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Behavioral Science at the University of Mary.
