Step teams have a rich history rooted in African-American culture. They originated in the early 1900s and evolved from African dance and military drills. Today, step teams showcase rhythmic movements, stomping, clapping, chanting, and style. They're popular in schools and colleges, promoting teamwork and self-expression. Â
The APEX Steppers are a group of step dancers that not only thrive in bringing school spirit but give back to the community as well. We show Attitude in our performance style, Pride in our stepping, and Excellence by representing our school, all while executing Xplosive rhythms.
