I am so excited to learn with your student in 4th grade science and math! This year, I strive to empower your child to be curious and to act upon that curiosity with attention to detail and appreciation of the interconnected nature of our world.
Outside of the classroom, my favorite place to be is with my family, exploring our backyard and neighborhood for toads and insects. We enjoy camping and playing outside at our local parks and traveling to the closest rocky-bottom river we can find!
Sincerely,
Dr. Serna

I like to listen to the BrainsOn podcast. They have lots of fun episodes you can choose from!
My favorite part is trying to guess the mystery sound!
I liked:
What does the giraffe say? Our animal mystery sound extravaganza!
If you like the book series Who Would Win, or if you're the type of 5th grader who likes to convince others why something is better than another, you'll really like Smash Boom Best.
They compare two things to see which one is the best!
