Textbook

We will use three different textbooks in class at various times, McGraw Hill's United States History to 1877, Teacher Curriculum Institute's History Alive!, The United States Through Industrialism, and Signal Media Publisher's Adventure Tales of America. The McGraw Hill book can be accessed online. The instructions are below.

The Adventure Tales book can be downloaded for free as a PDF at the bottom of this page.

Additionally, I have linked a completely free online textbook called American Yawp. In fairness, this is a college textbook, but if you crave US History this is a great resource.

To access the McGraw textbook, students must:

• sign in to the District's Single Sign-On page, which can be accessed on the "Students" quick key at the top of the district page.
• Login is the student's ID# and the same password they use for all district logins.
• Once logged in, you can click on the "McGraw-Hill Connect Ed" icon.
• This is the most difficult part, especially if trying to access from home: there is a validation popup that will occur when you do this. If popups are completely blocked on your computer or phone, you will not be able to log in!
