3rd Grade 2nd nine weeks
Unit of Study - Force and Motion
Dear 3rd Grade Families,
Our Focus
In this 3rd grade science unit we will learn how to identify, test, and use cause and effect relationships to explain how an object’s position and motion can change when a force or work is applied to it.
Instructional Approach
Hands on investigations will give students experience in demonstrating and observing how position and motion can be changed when work or force is applied to an object. They will be able to show work being done with using tools such: as pulleys, wheels, balls, ramps, and/or wagons. They will also show force and motion using magnetism and gravity on objects.
Family Support
You can help your child in several ways.
Sincerely,
Donna Mullins
