On February 1, 2025, we hosted a First Aid Workshop for 13 children, ages 9-14, where they learned essential skills for handling common injuries and emergencies. The workshop covered topics such as treating cuts and burns, when to call 911, how to make a splint for fractures, manage nosebleeds, and create a temporary stretcher. Through hands-on activities, the participants gained confidence in responding to medical situations and understanding when to seek professional help. In total, we spent 56 hours on planning, contacting five locations, arranging transportation, and conducting the event, which engaged 24 participants. Our MRC coordinator played a key role in refining the workshop structure and ensuring its success.
