"I missed class! How do I get caught up?"
- Notify Sr. Poder of absences as soon as possible.
- However many days you missed, you have that many to make up an assignment.
- If you know you'll miss ahead of time, you can get the work before you leave.
"I forgot to do the assignment. What can I do now?"
- 1 day late makes your max grade 80.
- 2 days late makes your max grade 70.
- 3 days late not acceptable.
- Accommodations can be made in extreme circumstances
"I made mistakes on my assignment. How can I improve my grade?"
- Almost any assignment can be corrected, except projects and presentations.
- How to make corrections depends on the type of assignment, so ask Sr. Poder before starting.
- Keep the original graded assignment to do corrections in another color or on a separate sheet.
- Assignments should be corrected during tutorials, not in class.
- You must correct every mistake and demonstrate you learned the content before corrections will be accepted.
- Your original grade will be averaged with 100 (you'll get back half the points you missed) if you follow these steps.
"Do you give out bonus points?"
- Special tickets will be awarded to students who win classroom competitions or improve the classroom environment.
- These tickets are worth 3 bonus points on almost all assignments.
- They do not expire and you can spend as many at a time as you want.
- Other opportunities for extra credit will be offered occasionally to the whole class for things relating to your Spanish education.
- You cannot earn more than 100 points on any assignment.
