As the AP/Dual Credit Art History, Art II-IV 2D, and AP Studio 2D Design and Drawing Art Teacher, I am excited to begin my 19th year of teaching.
After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2008, I pursued my teaching certification in Art. In December 2018, I furthered my education by earning a Master of Science in Art Education, which has deepened my commitment to fostering creativity and critical thinking in my students.
My teaching journey includes two years in public education at the high school and middle school levels, with NBISD, followed by six years as the owner of Traveling ART, where I taught painting, drawing, and sculpting to students ranging from ages 2 to adult. I then returned to public education with Comal ISD, where I am now beginning my ninth year with the district.
Since Fall 2021, I have also had the privilege of teaching as a Dual Credit Professor for ARTS 1303 (Art History I) and ARTS 1304 (Art History II) with Alamo Area Colleges, enriching the academic experience of my students by blending high school and college-level learning.
I’m looking forward to another great year of creativity, growth, and artistic exploration with my students!

As the AP Art, Pre-AP Art, and 3D Visual Arts teacher at Memorial Early College High School, I am excited to begin a new chapter with Comal ISD and my 15+ years in education.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Art from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. I then pursued my Master of Art and Education at Sul Ross State University. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to teach a wide range of courses, including AP Studio Art, IB Visual Arts, Pre-AP Art, 2D and 3D Art, and Design.
My teaching journey began in Texas at McKinney North High School, where I taught Visual Arts, served as Art Department Head, coached soccer, advised Student Council, and was honored as both New Teacher of the Year and Teacher of the Year for MISD. I later taught internationally in South Korea at Cheongna Dalton International School and then in The Bahamas at Lyford Cay International School. Along the way, I have served in numerous leadership roles involving athletics, student life, student government, and school culture.
After several years abroad, I am excited to return to Texas public education and join the Memorial Early College High School community. My classroom emphasizes strong technical foundations, experimentation, creative problem-solving, critique, and helping students discover their individual artistic voices.
I look forward to a great year of creating, experimenting, taking risks, and helping students grow into confident artists and creative thinkers!
