Lost and damaged books policy:

Students will be held responsible for the cost of library books that are lost or damaged beyond repair per district policy. Please contact the library if you have any questions or to make payment arrangements. 

We understand that accidents happen. If we can repair a torn book with tape or a wet book by drying it out, we will make every effort to do so. Please let us make any repairs needing tape instead of trying to fix the books on your own. If a library book gets wet, dry it out by standing the book up and opening the pages so they can get some air. Wet books packed away in backpacks tend to grow mold or stay stuck together. This will damage the book beyond repair.

Students may pay for damaged books for as little as a dollar a week until the full amount is paid. As long as a student is paying a dollar a week, he or she may continue to check out new library books.
