Welcome!! 

Hi! My name is Mrs.Downey. I graduated from Texas A&M University (WHOOP) in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing on 4-8 Math/Science. I student taught at SBMS and I have been here ever since. Fun fact- Ms. Fleming was my mentor teacher:) This will be my 9th year at SBMS, teaching both 6th and 7th grade science. 

I was born in Nashville, TN and grew up in the San Antonio area. I live in New Braunfels with my husband, Austin, and our fur-baby, River. We spend a lot of our free time outside. We enjoy cycling, skiing, hiking, camping and going on road-trips. 

I am VERY excited for the school year!
