GT Hours (initial 30 hour foundational GT certification or 6 hour update)
In Comal ISD, all K-12 core-area teachers (math, science, social studies and language arts) are expected to have their 30 foundational GT hours as well as an annual 6-hour update. After receiving the initial 30 clock hours, all teachers mentioned above are required to gain an annual 6-hour update in the area of GT.
Administrators and counselors need a one-time, 6-hour, counselor and administrator-specific course.
Please visit the GT Toolbox for additional information and resources.
