Bengkulu Province was formed in 1968 with the capital city of Bengkulu. EDUCATION SYSTEM
In general, there are 3 levels of the national education system or can be said to be 9 years of compulsory education starting from Basic Education (SD), Secondary Education (SMP), and Higher Education (SMA/College). a separate national education system that implements 12 years of compulsory education. That is six years in elementary school and three years each in middle school and high school.
ACADEMIC
Academic aspects at SDN 69 Bengkulu City include the national curriculum, namely K-13, which refers to educational standards prepared by the National Education Standards Agency (BSNP). In the 2022/2023 school year, the K-13 curriculum will be revised again to become an independent curriculum with each school given the opportunity to choose this independent curriculum. This independent curriculum cannot be implemented quickly, therefore all elementary schools chose grades 1 and 4 for the first stage of implementing the independent curriculum. And in the 2023/2024 school year, class 2 and class 5 will follow the Independent Curriculum. For grades 3 and 6, it still refers to the K-13 curriculum, which in the next school year will change to the independent curriculum because the implementation of the independent curriculum must be tiered each year in accordance with government regulations. The difference between their curriculum and K-13 is that the Merdeka Curriculum focuses on developing students' character and morals, while K13 focuses on abilities. To carry out the teaching and learning process in class, SD N 69 Bengkulu City uses a modular system model where subjects are delivered based on modules. This is intended so that students can better understand each lesson taught.

The school implements a positive culture such as 5S (smile, greet, salute, be polite, courteous). Habituation activities are a school culture that is carried out every day as an educational effort to shape the character of students as an implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile. Habituation activities are carried out routinely, whether daily, weekly, monthly and yearly, and the implementation techniques are structured and spontaneous or in the form of direct and indirect learning, which aims to train and guide students to act and behave by instilling good character values so that they become habituated. which is internalized in the hearts and souls of students.
CHARACTER
are at various economic levels from lower to upper middle class with adequate infrastructure to support the learning process, both intracurricular and extracurricular. Diverse religious backgrounds do not just focus on one religion. Socioculturally, students have parents who have different cultural backgrounds because some of their parents are employees who are assigned to work and come from outside the area. CURRICULUM
Curriculum 2013 (K13) - This is the new curriculum in Indonesia. As the name suggests, this curriculum has been used in stages since 2013. And the government always tries to improve it, every year there are revisions as proof. In the 2022/2023 academic year this curriculum changes again to an independent curriculum where this curriculum changes gradually in accordance with Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, Government Regulation Number 19 of 2005 as amended by Government Regulation Number 32 of 2013 and finally Government Regulation Number 13 of 2015 concerning Second Amendment to Government Regulation Number 19 of 2005 concerning National Education Standards, Presidential Regulation Number 87 of 2017 concerning Strengthening Character Education. At SDN 69 Bengkulu City, the new independent curriculum is used for grades 1, 2, 3 and 4. Next year all classes will use the independent curriculum. Meanwhile, grades 3 and 6 still use the K-13 Curriculum.
